More Fire-Fighting Time. Still Small Enough for Your UTV.
When you're carrying fire protection on a UTV, you have two problems to solve: you need enough fire-fighting capability, and you need something you're actually willing to carry.
The Element E100 Fire Extinguisher gives you up to 100 seconds of fire-fighting discharge in a compact, lightweight package. Element positions the E100 as its industrial-sized model, making it the step up from the E50 when you want significantly more discharge time without carrying a conventional extinguisher cylinder.
At just 13 inches long, with a 1.2-inch body diameter, a 1.6-inch handle diameter, and a weight of only 0.79 lb, the E100 is remarkably compact for the amount of discharge time it provides.
For American UTV customers, that makes the E100 especially interesting for race machines, high-performance UTVs, off-road vehicles, trucks, trailers, garages, industrial equipment, and other applications where additional fire protection is worth the small increase in size over the E50.
Why the E100 Is Different
The E100 doesn't use a conventional pressurized cylinder.
There is no compressed gas, no pressure gauge, and no moving parts that require routine servicing. Its solid-state design is built to withstand vibration, humidity and extreme temperatures, making it a strong fit for equipment that gets used in harsh environments.
The discharge is also designed to leave essentially no residue, rather than covering your machine in traditional dry-chemical powder. Element describes the discharge as non-toxic, non-corrosive and environmentally friendly.
For an expensive UTV packed with wiring, electronics, lighting, accessories and performance equipment, that's a major consideration.
100 Seconds of Discharge
Element rates the E100 for a 100-second discharge. Element describes this as more than eight times the fire-fighting time of a typical 5-lb extinguisher bottle.
That doesn't mean you should wait to evacuate or attempt to fight a large or uncontrollable fire. The E100 is intended for small fires and supplemental fire protection, and Element specifically describes its intended use that way.
The goal is simple: give you another tool when a fire starts—before a small problem becomes a destroyed machine.

Why Upgrade to the E100?
The biggest reason to choose the E100 over the E50 is simple:
More discharge time.
The E50 provides 50 seconds. The E100 provides 100 seconds.
That makes the E100 a particularly good choice when you're protecting:
- High-performance UTVs
- Race vehicles
- Off-road vehicles
- Work equipment
- Trucks
- Trailers
- Garages
- Industrial equipment
- Larger or more valuable equipment
If you have the room to mount the E100, the additional discharge time is a compelling reason to step up.
Why We Like the E100 for UTVs
Compact Size
A traditional extinguisher can take up valuable space inside a UTV. The E100 is only 13 inches long and weighs less than a pound.
100 Seconds of Protection
The E100 gives you twice the advertised discharge time of the E50.
No Powder Cleanup
The discharge doesn't leave the machine coated in traditional dry-chemical residue. Element describes it as essentially residue-free and non-corrosive.
Built for Harsh Conditions
Element says the E100 is unaffected by vibration and humidity and can be stored in wet environments as long as the protective yellow cap remains installed over the tip. It's tested from -58°F to +176°F.
No Routine Maintenance
There is no pressure gauge to check and no compressed gas cylinder to service. Element states the solid chemical has no effective expiration.

UTV Mounting
This is where I'd make the American UTV page stronger than a generic product listing.
For a UTV, where you mount the extinguisher matters.
You want it:
- Secure enough that it can't become a projectile
- Protected from unnecessary damage
- Easy for the driver or passenger to reach
- Visible enough that you don't forget where it is
- Accessible without unloading your gear
Best E100 Mounting Option for UTVs
Element makes a dedicated E100 Roll Bar Mount specifically for off-road vehicles, ATVs and race cars. It fits roll-cage tubing up to 2 inches, uses two included band clamps, and includes a Velcro security strap.
That's the mount I'd recommend for most UTV customers running an E100.
Element also offers a Quick Fist Heavy Duty Mount and a Tactical Mount with Straps, both of which fit the E100.
American UTV Recommendation
For a trail/race UTV: E100 + E100 Roll Bar Mount.
For a custom installation: E100 + Tactical Mount.
For a simple mounting solution: E100 + Quick Fist Mount.
This gives us a natural product bundle/cross-sell opportunity on Shopify.
Fire Protection
Element states that its extinguishers fight the major fire classes, including cooking oil and grease fires.
The E100 is intended for small fires and supplemental fire protection, not as a substitute for emergency evacuation or professional firefighting equipment.
Important Certification Note
I would absolutely keep this information on the page:
The Element E100 is not a UL-certified traditional fire extinguisher.
Element explains that current UL standards include physical-form requirements based around conventional pressurized extinguisher designs. Because Element uses a different form factor, it cannot currently substitute for a UL-certified extinguisher where regulations specifically require one. Element states it can be used as supplemental protection in regulated environments.
That's important information for customers—and including it makes American UTV look like we're actually educating buyers rather than just trying to make a sale.
